Located in the heart of Bernalillo County's North Valley and Albuquerque's Northeast Heights, House District 15 is home to a vibrant mix of historic neighborhoods, family-owned businesses, and long-standing cultural traditions. From the tree-lined streets of Los Griegos and Thomas Village to the agricultural heritage of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, this district blends the legacy of rural New Mexico with the modern energy of the city.
District 15 also includes critical infrastructure and community assets, from public schools and local parks to small farms, canals, and historic acequias. Schools like Valley High and Taft Middle provide educational opportunities for families across the North Valley. Neighborhood parks such as Garfield and Montaño West offer much needed space for exercise, social connection, and outdoor activities. Additionally, the Rio Grande and acequia systems that run throughout the area reflect a long standing tradition of community collaboration in local water management. Some of our communities most treasured businesses and assets such as the Bosque & recreational trails, Bachechi Open Space, Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm, and Cliff's Amusement Park call House District 15 home. Together, these features shape daily life in District 15 and reflect the district’s deep-rooted value of stewardship and a commitment to preserving culture and community well-being.
Residents here care deeply about public safety, access to quality education, and preserving the unique character of their communities. District 15 is a place where people look after each other, and Representative Dayan Hochman Vigil is proud to represent that spirit at the Roundhouse.
